    MeetingPlay's #EventProfs: Meet Jason M.

Every Friday we get a little bit personal on the MeetingPlay blog. Every successful mobile event app we build for our happy event clients, there are a multitude of faces that are behind the scenes working hard to ensure that success. From account managers, and operations to developers and software technicians and more - the success that results in event apps for happy clients and attendees alike, has a hardworking team behind them.

This week we are meeting MeetingPlay's Jason M. Jason is one of MeetingPlay's many rock stars - aka web and mobile application software developers. Meet Jason:

IMG_1179.jpg1. What was your first job – tell us about it.

My first job was working in a computer lab on campus at Bowling Green State University.  I've been a geek all my life. :-)

    2. Who has influenced you most in your professional path/career?

I would have to say that my father influenced me the most and this was by his career choice and bringing home a computer when I was ten years old.  He helped me get me hooked on the many aspects of software development and even how computers worked and were built. I haven't looked back.

    3. What’s your favorite part about working in the event technology (or events) industry?

I love the challenges of finding a problem and solving that problem.  I think the event industry is so fluid that problem solving skills are a must and I love that.

    4. Looking back, what career advice would you tell your 18-year-old self?

I would tell my 18 year old self to focus on the long run not the short sale and invest in a little company called Netscape but sell after a couple of years and buy into Google.

    5. What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?

My favorite non-work thing to do is play games with my son. (Editor's note: Turns out Jason is a big Ticket to Ride fan!)

Clearly, Jason's intelligence transpires beyond the doors of MeetingPlay - but especially inside as well, and we're sure glad to have Jason as part of the MeetingPlay team!

MeetingPlay is expanding, and we want to add you to the team! Want to learn more about the most engaging mobile event app and join the team?
