    MeetingPlay's #EventProfs: Meet Jen M.

Every Friday on the MeetingPlay blog we showcase one of MeetingPlay's #eventprofs - a face behind the scenes of the hard work and dedication that goes into making the industry's most engaging mobile event apps. This week we meet Jen M.

Jen is MeetingPlay's go to gal when it comes to bookkeeping, accounting, human resources, and more. (We tried to come up with a clever job title for Jen, such as Money Maestro, Employee Relations Evangelist, Financial Conductor, Employee Cheerleader, or even MPEOG - MeetingPlay Essential Oil Gal -  but none quite summed up everything that Jen does for MeetingPlay!)

    Meet MeetingPlay's #EventProf, Jen:

My first job was at a retirement home when I was 15.   I worked in the dining room and served dinner to the residents that lived there.  My favorite part was getting to  know the residents and learning from their wisdom and life experiences.  I loved this job so much that I worked there until I graduated high school.

    2. Who has influenced you most in your professional path/career?

So many people -- my parents.  They have worked really hard and always go after what they want.  My father in law who never stops learning new things – like EVER.  Also, pretty much every boss I’ve ever had has helped shape my career path in some way.

3.What’s your favorite part about working in the event technology industry?

My Favorite part is working with all the amazing people at MeetingPlay.  I love seeing how everyone works together to pull off such awesome events and event technology solutions.

    4. What career advice would you tell your 18-year-old self, looking back?

Career advice to my 18 year self?  Hmmm… I would probably go to college right after high school and not waste 10 years partying too much? (Editors note: if you knew our Chief Bean Counting Rockstar, Jen, you would have never believed she said that! Truly! She even then goes on to say not to share that event-professionals-angel.png ) Dream big, and don’t give up!

    5. What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?

When I am not working I love spending time with my family (married, 2 girls)...and making them try my new recipes because I love to cook.

Jen, MeetingPlay's lead number navigator, similar to MeetingPlay's other dedicated staff we have featured on our Meeting, MeetingPlay Friday's - truly embraces the core values of MeetingPlay, and we're glad to have her on our team!
