Stova’s #EventProfs: Jimmy B.

Every Friday on the Stova blog – we focus on the talent behind the hard work of Stova, the dedicated faces behind Stova’s mobile event apps and event technology. This week we meet one of Stova’s hardworking, client focused account managers, Jimmy B.

Meet Jimmy B:

1. What was your first job – tell us about it.

I started my first job at the age of 14, making Pizza’s for Dominos. I have a love for Pizza and it was also a quick walk from the high school I attended.

2. Who has influenced you most in your professional path/career?

Oddly enough, my younger brother. Since we were little, we had a love for technology and learning about it. Over the years, we kept ourselves updated with the newest tech which ultimately grew into our career goal. We still chat regularly about it.

3. What’s your favorite part about working in the event technology (or events) industry?

I enjoy the development process and coming up with new and innovative ideas to better help the clients/customers of our industry. Delving into user experience and developing ways to quicker get information to each user from their devices. Additionally I love being able to work together as a team and collaborate, as well as travel for events.

4. Looking back, what career advice would you tell your 18-year-old self

Ha! Don’t major in film, enjoy it as a hobby.

5. What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?

I play a few string instruments, listening and collecting vinyl, PC gaming, watching & making films, and hanging out with my wife! She’s pretty cool. 😏
