If there’s one famous quote to capture the end of summer, that every single event professional could turn into their ‘career motto’ - it is this:
"It will not always be summer; build barns." Heisod
With labor day around the corner, the return of children to school, and the ever popular event seasons beginning to arrive yet again - many event professionals may be thinking to themselves “Summers over? When did it ever begin.”
What is Labor day?
Honored on the first Monday of every September, that began in Oregon state in the late 1800s, and eventually was adopted as a federal holiday. A creation of the labor movement, labor day is a day to celebrate all American workers and "the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."
Knowing how truly hard working the world of events is - and every single event professional that stands behind a successful event works - at MeetingPlay we applaud you. We applaud the hard work of every event professional who has learned that they must be constantly building barns, before, during, and after their events.
On this Monday, September 5, 2016 - enjoy a moment to breathe. Look back on the success of your past year, and the success your hard work will produce in the coming months.
